What Content Should a Candidate Prepare Before Building a Website?
The best starting folder contains approved facts, usable images, clear issue notes, and the links a supporter will need.
Write the candidate story
Prepare a short biography, a longer biography, work history, community involvement, family details the candidate wants to share, and a list of accomplishments. Keep dates and titles precise.
Prepare the campaign message
Gather issue statements, priorities, endorsements, news, and a plain-language summary of the race. Separate approved copy from notes that still need review.
Gather visual files
Collect the logo in its best available format, candidate portraits, community photos, event images, and existing campaign graphics. Confirm that the campaign has permission to use supplied photos.
List the links and actions
Make one document with the donation page, volunteer form, email signup, SMS signup, social profiles, event registration, contact email, and voting resources. Test the links before launch.
